Pharmacramitis

A non-serious, non-medical definition for a very recognisable pharmacology-learning state.

Definition

Pharmacramitis (n.): An acute condition affecting medical and health professions students, characterised by confusion between drug names, receptor overload, CYP450 hallucinations, and an irresistible urge to memorise senior's notes at 3 am.

Possible Symptoms

  • Mixing up drug names ending in -mab, -pril, and -olol
  • See MEQ, panic, anyhow whack answers and hope kena one right
  • Seeing adverse effects everywhere
  • Believing every exam question has "all of the above" as the answer
  • Persistent exposure to flashcards despite diminishing returns
